Lord of the Rings Pumpkin Carving Designs

Halloween is a time when people who have any creativity at all turn their attention to carving pumpkins. The resulting designs are sometimes so good that they are actually art and not just scratches on large squashes.

I am a huge Lord of the Rings fan and was excited to seek out pumpkins that have been carved as an homage to these wonderful stories. Every design seen here is worthy of being called art.

My biggest disappointment is that there are not very many Lord of the Rings pumpkin carving designs. If I find more I will happily add them.I have no idea who carved these pumpkins, but I thank him or her for creating these wonderful masterpieces!!

You know the hobbit. You know the ring. You know this scene from the movie (the part where he is in the Prancing Pony and the ring accidently lands on his finger). Now you get to see it expertly carved onto a pumpkin. Does it get any better than this? There are two more to go, so you can decide in a moment.

Yes, his name was once Smeagle, but Smeagle is no where to be seen in this image. This is 100% pure, ring-addicted Gollum.

Gandalf the White Wizard Pumpkin

I'll admit upfront that this might actually be Gandalf the Gray, but I my bet is on Gandalf the White. The reason I suspect this is because no darkness or grey has been added to the sleeve. Plus, this was the staff that Gandalf used after his transformation to White Wizard.

Whether this is a white or a gray wizard doesn't really matter, though. The end result is simply stunning!
